Gates of Olympus Comparison: Which Version Should You Play?

Six games share one idea: a grid where symbols pay anywhere and winged orbs multiply the wins. What separates them is how far each one pushes the multipliers, the cap and the ways to buy into the bonus. Here they are side by side, with the numbers from each game's own rules.

Head to head

Gates of Olympus vs Gates of Olympus 1000

Same grid, same paytable, same 96.50% RTP, same 15 free spins and the same 100x buy. The 1000 adds a crystal orb and stretches the value list from 500x up to 1,000x, lifts the cap from 5,000x to 15,000x and rates itself high volatility instead of medium.

Pick the original if you want steadier sessions and the classic. Pick the 1000 if you accept more dead bonuses in exchange for a ceiling three times higher.

Gates of Olympus 1000 vs Xmas 1000

The rules, values and RTP figures match line for line: 96.50% base and ante, 96.49% for the buy, 2x–1,000x orbs, a 15,000x cap. Xmas 1000 swaps the purple sky for snow, puts a Santa hat on Zeus and uses a snowflake crystal as its fifth orb.

Pick either: the choice is purely about the look.

Gates of Olympus vs Super Scatter

Super Scatter keeps the original's medium volatility and 500x orbs, then adds a gold Super Scatter. When one or more of them help trigger free spins they pay 100x, 500x, 5,000x or 50,000x on the spot, which is how the cap reaches 50,000x. Its ante costs 1.5x instead of 1.25x, and it adds a 500x buy for Super Free Spins, where every orb is worth at least 10x.

Pick Super Scatter if you want the original's feel with a jackpot-sized top prize.

Gates of Olympus 1000 vs 2500

Both are high volatility with the same paytable. The 2500 raises the top orb to 2,500x, the cap to 25,000x and the base RTP to 96.52%, then adds choice: a wheel that picks one of four free spins types, four buys from 100x to 1,250x, three ante levels and two Super Spin modes that guarantee multipliers.

Pick the 1000 for simplicity. Pick the 2500 if you enjoy choosing how to play, and set a firm budget before you touch the expensive modes.

POP vs the 6×5 games

POP is the only portrait game and the only low-volatility one. Its 3×5 grid pays for 5 or more symbols, three scatters start the free spins, and POP symbols in the trigger pay jackpots of 50x, 500x or 25,000x. There's no buy and no ante. The demo version we played lists the highest RTP in the series, 97.05%, although Pragmatic's own game page shows 96.54%.

Pick POP for phone play, smaller budgets and frequent small wins.

The right game for your style

  • Lowest risk

    POP

Low volatility, 0.10 minimum bet, no expensive buys to tempt you.

  • Balanced

    Original or Super Scatter

Medium volatility. Super Scatter adds a far higher ceiling for a slightly pricier ante.

  • High risk, simple rules

    1000 or Xmas 1000

One bonus round, 1,000x orbs, 15,000x cap.

  • High risk, lots of choice

    2500

2,500x orbs, four free spins types, special bets up to 250x per spin.

One paytable for the five 6×5 games

The original, 1000, Xmas 1000, Super Scatter and 2500 pay exactly the same for each symbol, so the differences between them come entirely from multipliers, scatters and bonus options. POP has its own, shorter paytable on its 3×5 grid.

Our pick

If we could keep only one, it would be Gates of Olympus 2500: the biggest multipliers, the most interesting free spins and options for every budget. For most players, though, the right first game is still the original, and the right second step depends on whether you want a higher ceiling (Super Scatter), more risk (1000) or less (POP).
