Questions and answers
What is Gates of Olympus?
A series of online slots from Pragmatic Play built around Zeus, a grid where symbols pay anywhere, tumbling wins and winged multiplier orbs. The original came out in February 2021 and five more games have followed.
Which games are in the series?
Gates of Olympus (2021), Gates of Olympus 1000 (2023), Gates of Olympus Xmas 1000 (2024), Gates of Olympus Super Scatter (2025), Gates of Olympus POP (2026) and Gates of Olympus 2500 (2026).
How do wins work without paylines?
In the 6×5 games, 8 or more matching symbols anywhere on the grid pay. In POP's 3×5 grid, 5 or more pay. Winning symbols disappear and new ones tumble in, so one spin can win several times.
How do the multiplier orbs work?
Orbs land with random values. In the base game all orbs on screen are added together when the tumbles end and multiply the spin's win. In free spins they also build a total multiplier that lasts for the whole round. See our multiplier guide.
What is the biggest multiplier in the series?
2,500x, in Gates of Olympus 2500. The 1000, Xmas 1000 and POP go up to 1,000x; the original and Super Scatter up to 500x.
What is the max win of each game?
Original 5,000x; 1000 and Xmas 1000 15,000x; Super Scatter 50,000x; POP 25,000x; 2500 25,000x. A round that reaches the cap ends at once.
What is the RTP of Gates of Olympus?
96.50% for the original, the 1000, Xmas 1000 and Super Scatter base games, 96.52% for 2500 and 97.05% for the POP demo we played. Bonus buys and antes differ by a few hundredths. Casinos can run lower versions: check the rules screen.
Which Gates of Olympus is the least risky?
POP, the only low-volatility game. The original and Super Scatter are medium; the 1000, Xmas 1000 and 2500 are high.
How do I trigger free spins?
Four or more Zeus scatters in the 6×5 games, or three Scatter or POP symbols in POP. All six games give 15 free spins.
Can I buy the free spins?
In five of the six games. The standard buy costs 100x the bet; Super Scatter adds a 500x Super Free Spins buy and 2500 has four buys from 100x to 1,250x. POP has no buy, and some countries don't allow buys at all.
What is the ante bet?
An optional higher stake that raises the chance of triggering free spins: 1.25x the bet in most games, 1.5x in Super Scatter and up to 5.5x in 2500. It switches the bonus buy off. POP has no ante.
What are Super Scatters?
A gold scatter in Gates of Olympus Super Scatter. When 1 to 4 of them help trigger free spins they pay 100x, 500x, 5,000x or 50,000x the bet instantly.
What are the POP jackpots?
In Gates of Olympus POP, POP symbols that are part of a free spins trigger pay Spark (50x), Snap (500x) or Burst (25,000x), for one, two or three POP symbols.
What is Free Spins 2 in Gates of Olympus 2500?
One of four free spins types picked by a wheel. Every orb that lands is added to the total multiplier, win or not, and the total multiplies every win for the rest of the round.
Is Gates of Olympus 1000 the same as Xmas 1000?
The rules, values and RTP match. Xmas 1000 is a Christmas-themed version with snow, a Santa hat on Zeus and a snowflake multiplier.
Can I play on my phone?
Yes. All six games run in iPhone and Android browsers. POP is designed for portrait screens.
Is there a free demo?
Yes, for every game. See our demo page for the official links.
Is there a strategy that beats Gates of Olympus?
No. Every spin is random and the RTP is below 100%, so the game keeps a small share of all money staked over time. Set a budget, choose a bet size that lets you play as long as you want, and stop when the budget is gone.
